Getting My Toes Wet, In Watercolor

Socks
Crash
Today I have finally opened my Etsy STORE! Here I will be selling my watercolor figure paintings and the occasional small oil for special prices. At least that's the idea. All of the water color figures will be shipped free for the listed price within the US and a moderate up charge for Canada. Everywhere else, email me. Click on the word "Store" above to see what is there.

So the watercolors have been a secret love of mine for a little while and while trying to get a grasp on this elusive medium i started in monochrome. Well, it turns out the mono chrome is kinda fun and lets me explore in a different way than Oil and Color. I love it!

I would love to hear some feedback on these if you are reading this. Thank you for stopping by!

Oh man!...These are great, Dan! Great exercise in value, shape, drawing, simplification too. Are you going to a figure drawing group?

Hey Matt! Thank you so much! I was a (am still) a bit worried about these. Only a few people have seen them. I have been going to figure groups off and on for years. The watercolor use is relatively new though and are from a mix of photo and life.

Dan, I think these are very beautiful and effective - especially love your use of the white paper to indicate light. You have a delicate lightness of touch in watercolor, yet they are still so painterly in the great way that your oil paintings are too. Really good work, thanks for showing them.

Hi Sarah, thank you for taking the time to comment and for the very kind words. I am glad at least two people have seen this post. :)
