Today I have finally opened my Etsy
STORE! Here I will be selling my watercolor figure paintings and the occasional small oil for special prices. At least that's the idea. So the watercolors have been a secret love of mine for a little while and while trying to get a grasp on this elusive medium i started in monochrome. Well, it turns out the mono chrome is kinda fun and lets me explore in a different way than Oil and Color. I love it!

Oh man!...These are great, Dan! Great exercise in value, shape, drawing, simplification too. Are you going to a figure drawing group?
Hey Matt! Thank you so much! I was a (am still) a bit worried about these. Only a few people have seen them. I have been going to figure groups off and on for years. The watercolor use is relatively new though and are from a mix of photo and life.
Dan, I think these are very beautiful and effective - especially love your use of the white paper to indicate light. You have a delicate lightness of touch in watercolor, yet they are still so painterly in the great way that your oil paintings are too. Really good work, thanks for showing them.
