Good Morning

Hi or should I say good morning? This piece titled "Good Morning" 20"x16" will be part of a showing of my work scheduled for this coming Friday Sept 3rd. at Coco Vivo Fine Art in Boothbay Maine. (see link above)
While I was painting this the woman that owned the house, the fence and the Sunflowers came out and was so happy that I was painting there she went in and brought me out the juiciest peach you have ever had.. So I decided she had to make a couple brush strokes, she did, did well and I think was somehow happier then I was with the peach..

Quote: "Morisot seems to paint with her nerves on edge, providing a few scanty traces to create complete, disquieting evocations." Octave Mirbeau

For some reason, my favorite part is the formation of the round fence post behind the flowers. :)

I love this painting and the story that goes with it. That woman will always remember that special day and your kindness.

Love the upper left area of this painting: those almost-abstract shapes and varied colors, and the way the space goes way back. Good work!

Daniel Corey said...

Thank you Sarah, top left is my fav area, also because of the abstract.

Hi Marilyn, yes I know its on the corner of pleasent and I think of marble. Not 100% on the marble but i think so. Just incase you are inquiring for purchase, I believe it is available and hanging at Coco Vivo in Boothbay. Thanks for stopping by. Dan

"Good Morning" what a wonderful painting. That includes the rest on this site. The lady who owns the house and presented the peach is my "Aunt Tootie". I live in South Texas and visit her every summer.
I hope to see yur work on my next trip.
