Melted

This is a recent Studio piece "Melted" 24x30" based on a couple of plein air pieces. This was one of the funnest pieces to paint I have painted in a long time. The use of colors found in nature along with a few more intense colors found in my paint box makes for an interesting set of problems to find answers for.

Love these colors Dan - just reminds me of hot summer July mornings. Are you going to be doing more studio work?

I just love the intense feelings that this induces in me. A real emotional response.

Terrific, Daniel. Even better than the small sketch. I think you resolved this well.

Hey Chris, yeah, studio is a good place for me to stretch out and try out some different stuff. I find that simplifying is the complex stuff in the studio is much easier without the world distracting you Plein air. Hope you're painting a bunch!

Hey Mick, great. I'm glad you connected with it. That's a rare happening in today's art world for me. Hope you are well.
