Choncho's Nap & Creative Convergence... Doing the trip.

Here is a 6"x8" of my cat Choncho taking one of his daily naps. I feel like taking a nap myself. It has been a long summer (a good one) and I am ready for the slow down that happens here in Maine just about now.
Maybe the muted color harmony is a result of the way I was feeling watching and painting my little buddy taking a nap..?. I dont know. Either way its a peacefull piece for me.

I am currently in P Town on the Creative Convergence trip. There will be a wet paint show on Saturday at Addison gallery in Orleans MA from 5:30-7:30. See ya there.

I hope you don't mind me saying but this painting puts me in mind of Bonnard--besides his brilliant applications re colour/brushwork/composition I really like the way he depicted-some quite humourous- his pets in his very personal interiors-I like your shift in pallet as well

Nice little piece that brings a smile to my face. Great to hear you've had a good year, what you have shown us has been of a really high quality. Enjoy your lovely session with those other talented artists, can't wait to see the output.
