This painting was from a recent trip over to Waldoboro and will be available at the "Paint the Town" auction August 21st. When I was just finishing with this piece a woman approached me, asked if I was Daniel Corey, (I said yes) she then introduced herself offering her hand. I politely showed her my paint covered hands, instead she told me when and where her parents met me and that they were big fans.... Nothing prepares you for such a compliment.. Thank you.

Nice to hear that your public have greater appreciation than some of the 'professionals'. I no longer feel the need to visit my wrath upon those who do not show your work the appropriate respect. Love the control of your greens and really enjoy this piece.
Your paintings are BEAUTIFUL!!! Don't listen to the people who don't know what they're talking about. :) I just read your past few posts and additional gallery representation is always great! The thing about being an artist is there are lots of ups and downs, sometimes it's too easy to forget the ups when we get a down. At least that's how it is in my case. I am a frequent visitor, be back soon,

Hey Mick, thanks alot.. yeah greens are an animal in there own way.. In a way though they are always near midtone so If you key your painting to your greens that should keep most out of trouble.. Just thinking out loud, out loud as you can be with a keyboard..?. :)
Thanks Joan, You are too kind. I have always thought of myself as less an artist and more a painter anyways.... Artists get "hurt and ruined" I just keep on trucking. ;)
