Window Seat

Window Seat 12x12 SOLD

Lately the cold has been forcing more inside work than I would have liked. I know, I know what you're saying "Dan you paint outside, even when its cold. What is the problem?" Well it has been around 12 degrees fahrenheit lately and with wind chills well below zero. I tried to paint out there in that cold, lasted about an hour. Even dressed well, I had numb toes and finger tips and that's with a heat packet in my glove! I will share that piece soon. It is spirited to say the least.

So this piece "Window Seat" 12x12" is one of the last pieces painted at my old home. Deciding to put this piece up for sale was a tough decision but going forward is a must.
If you are interested in this piece or viewing the other pieces I have for sale at discounted prices. Please click HERE to go to my online store/gallery .

Oh yeah, im not sure if quoting yourself is pretentious but here it goes anyway.

"If you only work at being an artist, what else could you be" me.

I am usually of two minds so the one that is writing you now is the one pondering this quote, not the author. Don't have me committed just yet, honesty is the new truth. ;)

Melted

This is a recent Studio piece "Melted" 24x30" based on a couple of plein air pieces. This was one of the funnest pieces to paint I have painted in a long time. The use of colors found in nature along with a few more intense colors found in my paint box makes for an interesting set of problems to find answers for.

Blizzard Marker Photo Repost

I'm reposing this image after noticing that the monitor I first adjusted it on was extra bright which made my image on other computers, really dark.. So here it is, closer to real life. Look here and read the previous one. Thanks for stopping by!

Blizzard Marker

So locally some of the fire hydrants are great colors. Some are even hand painted with designs similar to a 70s ere hippie van.
This bright yellow hydrant was calling my name for a very long time. "Dan paint me" Then one day I figured out how I wanted to compose it, said the magic words, waved the magic wand and here it is.
If you are interested in this piece or one of the approximately 30 other pieces available for special price please click HERE to view them and see pricing. thanks for stopping by

Harpswell Harmony

I know, I know.. I posted this piece before. Now it is for sale. After spending a year on my walls as a piece I am particularly proud of I have decided.. Now is the time to send it off into the world. If you are interested or just interested in seeing some more of my specially priced work click on the "Etsy Store/Gallery" link in the upper right hand of my blog. I think you can see the influence, (hopefully a positive influence) that Charles Sovek has had on my work in this piece. I love me some Sovek..
